Welcome to the Dances of Universal Peace Denver - Boulder - Front Range & Beyond! Meetup site, offering opportunities to experience the Dances of Universal Peace on the Front Range. These dances are ongoing, with between 20 and 50+ people gathering at each event, regardless of how many people sign up through meetup.com.
Colorado is home to the largest weekly gatherings of this nature in the country. The dances serve as a hub of connection to people who value tolerance, diversity, peace, the sacredness of life, and who enjoy celebrating life with others.
More information: http://www.dup-co.com/ Here you will find a calendar, descriptions of the dances, history on where this came from, what you can expect at a dance event, answers to common questions as well as contact information, location and maps. Join us!
Britt is leading the dance this month. Jyoti and friends lead these dances in Estes Park every third Saturday, 2-4 pm at 145 E Elkhorn Ave Unit 200. Afterwards many enjoy going out to dinner together.
The Dances of Universal Peace originated in the late 1960s as a way of helping move toward greater alignment personally, as a group and between cultures. The words, music and movements to each dance are drawn from wisdom traditions thoughout the world.
• No experience is necessary; come alone or bring a friend.
• All dances are taught to the group each time.
By donation, $10-20 suggested. Scent-free please, we seek to make this a welcoming place for all.
The 3rd Saturday of the month - Devotional Zikr, the practice of prayerful "remembrance" in the tradition of the Sufi Ruhaniat - musical, movement meditation led by Sára Rain - $10 donation and dessert potluck - All are welcome! - more info: [masked] or [masked]

I put these up on Meetup.com as a way of helping to spread the word, since I enjoy them so much. We usually have between 20- 50 dancers on any given evening, even though the meetup rsvp doesn't show that.
