Andrea Díaz from Buenos Aires, Argentina, who's performed in both the Porto Seguro, Brazil, and Buenos Aires, Argentina Zouk Congresses. Andrea has been dancing for 12 years (including jazz, hip hop, flamenco, samba de gafieira, axe, Afro dance, and of course, Zouk!). She's had the pleasure of teaching Zouk in Rio de Janeiro, San Pablo, and of course in her hometown of Buenos Aires, Argentina. She loves being a part of this international dancing community and helping it grow
Nelson’s roots are in Martinique, the birthplace of ZOUK, and from a prolific musical family, with, e.g., a jazz trumpetist uncle and a percussionist cousin, member of world famous KASSAV', the very band which created and gave ZOUK to the world. Born into Zouk, he too started off as a musician (Conservatory of Music and Dance at 6) and encountered the Brazilian-French Caribbean cultural mix ZOUK LAMBADA in neighbouring Bahia, along with Samba Reggae (percus-sions w. méstre Macambira), Samba de Gafieira (w. méstre J. de Oliveira) and other emerging ‘Zouk’ styles down south in Rio. Experienced instructor in both Bahianese Zouk Lambada and Rio Zouk style, he has been developing Zouk in Scandinavia - where his partner and he were its very first promoters - and founded the first Zouk school in Northern Europe (LambaZouk Scandinavia). Based in Scandinavia for 14 years now, he’s been supporting the ever-growing interest in Zouk and other Brazilian & Caribbean dances and cultures and has trained several dance instructors throughout the years. He regularly teaches in the rest of Europe (France, Austria, Germany, Ukraine) ‘n in America (Porto/Salvador/Rio, Fort-de-France), and recently returned from the Middle East where he joined the finest line-up of Latin dance instructors, as the first inter-national Zouk teacher ever invited to the famous OISDF. before embarking on a first North American tour April 2013. his latest participations in Dance Events:
- 2nd Zouk SEA (Kuala Lumpur) - 2013- 1st North American ZoukEX (Toronto) - 2013- L.A. ZOUK Congress - 2013- OMAN INTERNATIONAL SALSA & DANCE FESTIVAL – 2013- BERG’S ZOUK LAMBADA WORLD CONGRESS - 2011,2012, 2013, 2014- COPENHAGEN 2011 ZOUK MASTERS’ CLASS SERIES – 2011- GÖTEBORG BACHATA & LATIN FESTIVAL – 2010
