Collaborative, Web-Based Graphing with R, Python, MATLAB, Excel, & Your Team - Abstract:
This talk will review seven of the most famous graphs ever made, explain their meaning, and examine how you can make interactive versions of these graphs (and many more) with Plotly, D3.js, Python, R, and a web app. Along the way, we'll look at exciting new web technologies for graphing and data analysis and discuss data visualization best practices. Our primary tool will be Plotly (https://plot.ly).
Plotly is a platform for making graphs and analyzing data with Excel, Python, MATLAB, R, and our web app. Plotly has 2D, 3D, and streaming graphs, plus stats, fits, functions, and data wrangling. Over 100,000 people have joined the community. Plotly Enterprise Server is running in many corporations today. Founded in Montréal, Plotly also has teams in San Francisco and Boston.
