The topic: In this talk, learn how cities in California are increasing the number of companies publishing sustainability reports by using its data-driven procurement intelligence system powered by the B&L (Benefits and Liabilities) natural value accounting system and scenario planning tools to give them more control over how they consume goods and services. Not only is their new sustainability management system helping to identify cost savings, but it also provides the sustainability gains beyond their operational and capital expenditure items, reducing the need to pay more for sustainable products and resulting in huge cost savings for the city while incentivising greater transparency and quantitative performance benchmarking in reporting from suppliers.
