For this upcoming meetup, we have Brandon Ng from NUS Institute of Systems Science to share with us on Geospatial Analytics.

Synopsis
Geospatial (location) analytics emerges as one of the important aspect in analytics. In fact, it is categorized as data source/method in analytics, which is used in various business process domain analytics in respect to different industry vertical domain analytics. Enriching and analyzing locational information will help to improve business insights for better actionable decision. Hence, geospatial analytics and geovisualisation becomes a must have skillset by data scientist.

Case studies which leverage on the geospatial analytics, such as Singapore’s journey in smart nation transformation, transportation and supply chain industry, etc will be discussed.

Bio
Brandon is currently an Associate in Institute of Systems Science, National University of Singapore (NUS-ISS). He is teaching Master of Technology (Enterprise Business Analytics & Knowledge Engineering) as well as Executive Education Programme (Data Storytelling). He used to work in various IT projects (different nature of application) in different business domains. Brandon has been a full time and adjunct lecturer for local IHL as well as several oversea universities.
