Unit Testing Basics and TDD Exercise

Details

Are you new to unit testing and wondering what you should be testing and why? We'll give an intro session to the basics beyond the 'how.' Afterwards, we'll pair up and work through a TDD exercise to flex those new muscles. You may use your language of choice, though we'll focus on JavaScript in the examples. Please bring a laptop so you can participate.

Kenzan (http://www.kenzan.com), a local software engineering/professional services company, is kind enough to provide us with food. If you aren't familiar with them, Kenzan is located in LoDo and offers customized end-to-end solutions by leveraging their core strengths of ideation, architecture, development, DevOps and implementation.

Once again, we'll be meeting at Galvanize (http://www.galvanize.com/), a great coworking space for freelancers and startups. Additionally, they have a 24-week full stack web & software development program, a data science immersion program, a Master of Engineering in Big Data program, and a variety of workshops. With such an emphasis on web education, we're pretty happy to have them as a sponsor. They also host a number of other meetups and have a great bar and snack shop in-house.
