Does our app still work? An intro to modern end-to-end testing

In this workshop, we’ll look at a tool that replaces the wonky Selenium stack: Cypress (https://www.cypress.io/). Using the Cypress tool chain, we can test our browser apps like never before. Guest presenter, Will Klein (https://twitter.com/willslab) (Ecliptic), will walk us through how we can implement end to end tests in a real application, writing tests in JavaScript. We’ll also cover general testing techniques like mocks, assertions, and organizing test suites.

We'll listen to a brief lecture, watch a demo, and dive into the workshop exercises. A laptop is needed to participate in exercises.
