This Month’s Topic: Go & NoSQL with Nic Raboy In this session we’ll see how to create a fully functional RESTful API using the Go programming language and an open source NoSQL database called Couchbase. Communication between Go and the database will consist of a few techniques, including CRUD operations and SQL queries that are compatible with complex JSON data. Bio: Nic Raboy is an advocate of modern web and mobile development technologies. He has experience in Java, JavaScript, Golang and a variety of frameworks such as Angular, NativeScript, and Apache Cordova. Nic writes about his development experiences related to making web and mobile development easier to understand. Agenda • 5:30 - 6:00 - Meet, Greet, and Eat! This is a group for anyone that is interested in learning more about the Go programming language. We invite novice developers to experienced developers to attend. We will make sure we have appropriate topics and presentations for all groups. Our focus will be on how GO compares to other languages, paths for moving from Rails to Go, Go Concurrency Examples, and many many more real world examples and tech talks.
