OpenWRT for IoT projects and an Intro to PKGBUILD files

Hosted By
Pete S. and Matt S.

Details
We'll begin the night with a talk from local IoT expert Pete Silva. He'll be discussing his experiences using OpenWRT to create sensors and monitoring platforms. Join us to hear about the lessons from his most recent startup and get an overview of how to use this common embedded distro for more than just routers.
The second half of the night will be a short tutorial on packaging for Arch Linux. Learn about how to create PKGBUILD files and how to use makepkg for building and installing software. There will also be a short intro to using the Arch Build System and building a whole installation from scratch Gentoo style.
