Tired of going to a meditation group and having to listen to irrational dogma from a "guru?" Want a group where your fellow meditators won't ask you what your horoscope sign is? This group may be for you. We meet every other Wednesday to explore the world of meditation. Whatever your experience level is, all are welcome. And nothing religious or supernatural will be discussed. So join us for meditation and social connection!

The format will be a brief introduction about the group. Then, we will introduce ourselves, including name and experience with meditation. Based on the experience level as a whole, we will pick an appropriate meditation and meditate, usually between 15 and 30 minutes. After the meditation we'll discuss our experience. If we feel up to it, we may have a second meditation. The whole evening lasts 1.5 to 2 hours, but if you need to leave early or arrive late, that is perfectly fine. Chairs will be provided but if you have a favorite cushion you'd rather sit on, please bring that.

P.S. Though this Meetup is offered free, if you are willing and able to, there's a suggested donation of $1-$5 to keep up with the small cost of running this Meetup. However, no one will be turned away due to lack of payment.
