Takeaways We will be going over the following: JOIN and UNION with Aliasing Primary and Foreign Keys Aggregation and Functions Complex JOINs with multiple tables NULL values and related SQL functions GROUP BY combined with HAVING CASE and COALESCE Preparation This course will occur completely online using Zoom and Slack You will need access to a laptop or computer with a working webcam and microphone as well as a strong internet connection Pre-work and course set up information will be emailed to all students signed up around 24 hours before (and again an hour before) your course launches Students will be asked to download pgAdmin and connect to AWS (directions will be sent via email) Each individual course participant must have purchased a ticket A laptop, Mac or Windows, with a minimum of 8G (16G preferred) available memory and 200 MB available to download applications; Preload pgAdmin and PostgreSQL per instruction PDF. Instructions attached. Students who join this course must have an understanding of SQL fundamentals including the use of the following command line functions: SELECT queries that include FROM, WHERE, ORDER BY, LIMIT. Familiarity with using GROUP BY and HAVING in SELECT queries. General understanding of accessing remote/cloud databases. This is an Intermediate level course. In this class, we'll define Agile and Scrum and explore the rise of Agile and how Scrum fits within the Agile principles. Using real world examples and a practice exercise, we'll then review how Scrum works and what makes Scrum so powerful for delivering higher quality products in much less time and with happier teams. This workshop is a great introduction to Scrum and how to apply Scrum methods to your project to get better results!
