Denver Vegans ThanksLiving Celebration!
Details
Our annual Vegan ThanksLiving celebration is back! Join us for an all-vegan potluck on Thanksgiving Day!
Celebrate in the true spirit of thankfulness by sharing a delicious, cruelty-free meal and great conversation with your fellow vegans. For those who are new to veganism, here is your chance to experience a bountiful vegan Thanksgiving feast!
We have a waiting list, so please be sure to update your RSVP if you are unable to attend.
What to Bring:
• A vegan Thanksgiving main dish, side dish, appetizer or dessert to serve at least 8. (ALL vegan please: no turkey, meat, poultry, fish, eggs, dairy or honey. Be sure to check labels on any prepackaged items). Please include a recipe card or list of ingredients for those with allergies or who are gluten-intolerant.
• Your own serving utensils and reusable place setting
• $5.00 cash fee (we are asking a higher amount for this event to cover room rental and annual meetup expenses).
We gather at 1 p.m. and eat at 1:30 p.m. We're looking for volunteers to help with set-up and clean-up for this event. If you're interested, please message the organizer.
COVID-19 is on the rise, again, in Denver. When we planned this event, the threat level was “low,” but now it has risen to “medium.” Because of this, we have limited attendance at this event to 60, so as to be less crowded.
It is your responsibility to protect yourself and others against COVID by getting vaccinated and wearing a mask when necessary.
— If you test positive for COVID, please do not come, and change your RSVP to No.
— If you have symptoms (like sneezing, runny nose, fever, etc.) please do not come even if you are vaccinated and test negative for COVID.
— If you are at increased risk (over 65, pregnant or recently pregnant, immunocompromised or with asthma or other medical conditions), we recommend that you should be vaccinated AND wear a mask when not eating.
— We will have some free masks for those who forgot them.
Please help keep us safe! This is basically an honor system; we will not be checking your vaccination status or doing COVID tests at the door.
Rocky Mountain Miracle Center is convenient by car from I-25, as well as accessible by RTD bus (Route #40) and light rail (Colorado Blvd. station).
We hope to see you there!
