Talk Abstract:
When it comes to mobile development, a solid user experience is key, but as a mobile developer you’re faced with many obstacles that make this challenging including (network reliability, authentication, encryption, data serialization, data consistency, offline storage, and error handling at every level of the stack) to name a few… and somewhere in that mountain of concerns, is your business logic, the app you actually care about.

In this talk, we’ll analyze these obstacles in detail and see how the Realm Mobile Platform handles this for you, letting you focus on what makes your app unique.

You’ll also learn, through live demos and code samples in both Swift & Java, how the Platform works and how you can start using it in your own applications.

Eric Maxwell - Eric is a Product Engineer at Realm. He has spent over a decade architecting and developing software for various companies across different industries, including healthcare, insurance, library science, and private aviation. About Denver Droids
Each 3rd Wednesday of the month, we meet at IBM in the DTC. From 5:30-6pm we will socialize and enjoy food and drinks. At 6pm we will either have a presentation about a new/interesting Android topic, or we'll work on a group project. If you are a new or experienced Android developer, or just someone that is curious about Android development, we hope you will join us and become a regular participant!
