WordPress as a headless CMS

• What we'll do
WordPress is a fantastic platform for managing content, but there are headaches that can come up. From security concerns, to heavy traffic impacting site load times to even working within the platform and "the loop". What if there was a better way? Let's create a headless WordPress and publish static JSON for consumption in apps, sites, anywhere! Let's use WordPress to manage our content, not dictate our frontend and get performance boosts by publishing and consuming static files.

Drew Dahlman is a Technical Director and Senior Developer at Legwork Studio in Denver Colorado, founder of Develop Denver and GifMe. He works with clients and agencies such as Nike, Google, Coca-Cola, Hakkasan Group and others to create rich interactive experiences though websites and experiential installations.

The monthly WordPress Developers Meetup has moved to Galvanize!

We have officially moved the WordPress Developers Meetup to the Galvanize Platte Campus! We would like to thanks our gracious host and sponsor, Galvanize (http://www.galvanize.com/denver-platte), for providing this space for us to hold our meetup.

The venue is located on Platte between 16th, and 17th. If you are driving, you should be able to get some street parking, or there is a public indoor garage next door that you can park at for about $5.
