In this two-part talk we’ll cover the “what”, “why”, and “how” of functional testing with your WordPress themes and plugins. Part one will focus on a broad overview of functional testing. It’ll be geared towards both technical and non-technical beginners. What’s functional testing? Is it different than unit testing? Why would I ever want or need functional tests?
Part two will dive into a little code. We’ll introduce Codeception (a testing framework that makes writing functional tests a breeze). We’ll demo some basic examples and ramp up from ground zero, so no previous testing experience will be required. (Although if you can follow along with some basic PHP it will help). Finally, we’ll cover where you can go from here, how to find more resources, and how you can integrate your functional tests with Travis CI.

The monthly WordPress Developers Meetup has moved to Galvanize!
We have officially moved the WordPress Developers Meetup to the Galvanize Platte Campus! We would like to thanks our gracious host and sponsor, Galvanize (http://www.galvanize.com/denver-platte), for providing this space for us to hold our meetup.
The venue is located on Platte between 16th, and 17th. If you are driving, you should be able to get some street parking, or there is a public indoor garage next door that you can park at for about $5.
If you have any suggestions for what you would like to see at future meetups, or would like to give a talk about a particular topic, leave a comment on the meetup, or feel free to DM me!
