We will be hosting a Dev Meet Up on Tuesday, October 29th. We are inviting software application developers and GIS professionals to attend this event. Food and beverages will be provided at the Dev Meet Up. Be sure to bring your business card for the raffle!
The Esri Dev Meet Up is a social gathering for developers to discuss geospatial technologies, complementary third-party tools, and development platforms (e.g., Silverlight, Java, Flex, JavaScript) that are supported by Esri. Presentations run the gamut of our community: from Web development to mobile location development for iOS, Android and Windows Phone 7 to automating tasks with Python.
Developers of all levels of expertise are welcome, from seasoned GIS professionals to those new to geospatial development.
At these meet ups, you can:
Demonstrate your application or framework.
Present an interesting concept or idea.
Share your experiences.
Connect with other developers.

There is a 2 day Geospatial Semantics workshop at the Pyle Center October 28-29, 2013, Room 235. http://www.ssec.wisc.edu/meetings/geosp_sem/ The focus is on how to include semantic technology in various geospatial architectures. There is no cost but please register for meal counts.
