What we're about

In this group, we study the the Buddha's teachings, as preserved by the Theravada (which may be the most authentic version of it). We do practice (mindfulness and concentration) meditation but also study the teachings and figure out how to apply them to our daily lives. According to the Theravada Buddhist teachings to lay people, a harmonious lifestyle is the preconditions for progress meditation.

Our sessions take place once a month, and are conducted by Venerable Bhante Anuruddha from Sri Lanka. Bhante has been a Buddhist monk for 30 years. He's the originator of Zurich Buddhist Vihara (Temple) and has been its abbot for 10 years.

The temple is just a few minutes' walk away from the train station in Lenzburg. The address is: Sophie Hämmerlistrasse 22, 5600 Lenzburg.
