Join us for a scenic evening cycle from Clontarf to Howth Summit for a relaxing coffee and chat.

This sociable ride, which would especially suit new members to the group, takes in stunning coastal views, a rewarding climb, and good company—perfect for winding down the day.

Plan for the evening:
1️⃣ We roll out at 6:30 PM sharp from the Sails Sculpture on Clontarf Road.
2️⃣ Cycle along the scenic coastal path to Sutton Cross.
3️⃣ Turn right and climb over Howth Hill to the summit.
4️⃣ Enjoy a coffee and chat at The Summit pub then cruise back to Clontarf.

We'll aim to be back by 8:45 PM.

Important Notes:

Please wear a cycling helmet.

Bring a spare tube in case of a puncture.

Please note, this is a volunteer-led social ride. We are not a professional organisation. Each participant is responsible for their own safety and well-being. That said, we look out for one another and aim to make it a safe, enjoyable experience for everyone.

Join us for a cycle out to Glencullen and back.

🚨Warning: this cycle has a steep/long climb.

🚨Please have back and front lights on your bike for this cycle.

The total distance is 30km, but it has 450m of climbing taken on all at once. For perspective, 450m is twice the amount of climbing as the Thursday Howth cycle. If you are unsure of your ability to do this, I recommend trying the Thursday Howth Cycle first. We do not go fast up the climb, we go as slow as needed.

Here is our plan for the evening:

1️⃣We leave at 6:30PM from Portobello Harbour. We meet by the city bikes.

2️⃣We cycle South to where we'll climb up to Glencullen via R116.

3️⃣If time allows, we'll make a stop at the blue light pub for a break

4️⃣After break, we'll head back to starting point via Ballyedmonduff Rd and R117.

This is a short evening route with a fair bit of climbing with some great views throughout the ride.
