We are a group of adult geeks who like to hang out and have fun!
We will be holding meetups at a multitude of places; conventions, restaurants, bowling, my house, camping, everywhere and anything!
Activities will include: gaming tournaments, anime, scifi, or fantasy marathons, comic book discussions, rockband, parties and more!
I welcome suggestions, help, and other organizers!
Everyone who is 18 and up is welcome to every meetup we host.

# What is MAGWest?
MAGWest spawned from MAGFest, the Music and Gaming Festival currently on the East Coast. MAGWest is a three day event dedicated to the appreciation of video game music, gaming of all types, and the gaming community. MAGWest is the West's flavor of video game music, gaming, and non-stop party action! The event runs 24 hours a day, and offers consoles, arcades, tabletop, LAN, live video game cover bands, chiptunes, guest speakers, pool concerts, and so much more!

What makes MAGFest, and consequently MAGWest, unique, is that it’s a non-profit event run by fans for fans. There’s zero in-your-face sponsors, no over-crowded showfloors, and no top-secret-behind-closed-doors showings—just passionate and creative fans sharing an unforgettable experience. MAGWest is being built from the ground up to focus on the community in not just the San Francisco Bay Area / Silicon Valley, but also the rest of California and neighboring states, creating an environment that no other expo or convention can recreate!
How did MAGWest Start?
MAGFest started in 2002, and as the event started growing uncontrollably, expansion was the only way forward. After years of planning and preparation, MAGWest had its first event in 2017, with passionate volunteers fostering an unrivaled sense of community and appreciation for all things music and games.## Who Runs MAGWest?
MAGWest is run by MAGFest, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to furthering the appreciation of games and video game music.
MAGFest Inc.’s main method of achieving this goal is to create events which provide a means for people to enjoy games and musical concerts.
Including the big enchilada Super MAGFest, MAGFest Inc. holds several different events throughout the year, including BitGen Gamer Fest, MAGStock, and our touring concert series Game Over. They also provide games, music, and the MAGFest spirit to other events throughout the year.
