Talk

Genetic Modification of Plants has been a controversial topic for over a decade and yet there is continuing confusion in the general public about what this means, if they are a danger and for what they can be used.

Dr Geraint Parry will introduce the science behind the creation of GM crops, explain what they are and what benefits or potential drawbacks they have.

He will explain why he thinks they are part of the solution for problems of World Food Insecurity, why it’s not all about big multinationals, and that crops created for the common-good can make a difference!
