Join us in June for a very special night about TypeScript (to help warm you up for Dinosaur.js), brought to you by the Denver Ember meetup.
What is TypeScript and why do the cool kids keep talking about it? Why should you care about it? What advantages are there to incorporate yet another thing into your app? Those things and more are what we're aiming to discuss.
We'll start the night with a few quick lightning talks on using TypeScript in various types of applications (React, Ember and Angular) and will have an in-depth (but framework-agnostic) talk on refactoring with TypeScript.
Please note that we’re specifically aiming for this NOT to be "framework wars", but to be a more collegial atmosphere (aka “we’re all working toward roughly the same ends, how do you do things?”).
A big hand goes to our speakers:
- Mike Engel, TypeScript and React
- Chris Krycho, TypeScript and Ember
- Michael Schreier, TypeScript and Angular
- Dave Wasmer, Refactoring with TypeScript
Also, a big thanks to Ibotta (https://ibotta.com/) for sponsoring food and drinks this month and to Galvanize for sponsoring our space.
See you Wednesday!
Note: Starting in July we'll be meeting 2nd Wednesday of every month.
