We're back after a short hiatus! Come join us at PagerDuty on October 29th for food, socializing, and learning about how PagerDuty is using Elixir as well as digging in to Elixir releases in 1.9.

Talks:

Ken Cross, Software Engineer @ HelloSign
"Understanding Elixir releases in 1.9"

Ken is passionate about large systems architecture and mathematical topics. While working abroad in Korea for two years, he discovered his passion in computer science and returned to the field and got his degree. He has been very happy to be writing meaningful Elixir programs and tries to spend as much time contributing to open source when not working, commuting and fathering.

Ken will be talking about understanding Elixir releases in 1.9.

-----------
Cees De Groot, Principal Engineer @ PagerDuty
"Elixir at PagerDuty - facts, figures, findings and maybe a bit of fun."

Cees de Groot is a coder at heart with 30 years of experience in the field. A long journey through the lands of many programming languages made him land at his current resting spot of Elixir country, where he spends most of his time either at work or in the evening toying with Nerves. Born and raised in the Netherlands, he now lives in rural Canada working remotely.

Cees will go over PagerDuty's journey in Elixir-land, where they are, how they develop and deploy, and some interesting things they've learned
