Crypto Investment: James Poole and George K. Van Hoomissen

We're pleased to have James Poole of DA Capital (https://da.capital/) and George van Hoomissen of Vega Fund (http://www.vega.fund)speak to us. James will give an overview of investing in crypto assets; here's his abstract: The crypto investment landscape is constantly evolving with many new and exciting companies and projects coming onto the scene. This talk will survey the current space, discuss different centralized and decentralized options for participating, and look at some future projects that are coming down the pipeline.

George will present on Vega Fund; here's his abstract: Vega borrows heavily from prediction market concepts and is at its core based on the idea that prediction markets are highly accurate at forecasting future events. Vega believes that good investing boils down to good forecasting and that this forecasting method can be applied to funding. Vega enables individuals to replace a funding model that is based on central management and restricted access, with an investment model that's completely reversed, decentralized, and accessible to everyone.
