We have a double header. To begin with, Igor Barinov will give an overview of consensus algorithms used in Ethereum ecosystem for open and private networks. He will cover (a) Proof of Work and mining, mining pools, and the difficulty bomb; (2) proof of stake; and (3) proof of authority including Kovan (https://medium.com/@Digix/announcing-kovan-a-stable-ethereum-public-testnet-10ac7cb6c85f), Rinkeby (https://www.rinkeby.io/), and the Oracles Network. This will include best practices for choosing a consensus algorithm for dev and private networks.

Stewart Dennis, CEO of BitBounce (https://bitbounce.io/) will then present a technical overview of the BitBounce platform. His abstract: BitBounce is designed to solve the problem of email spam by charging a fee for emails from email addresses that are not on a whitelist. That fee can be paid in Bitcoin or Credo (an ERC20 token). BitBounce has almost 10,000 active users and is currently live on the main Ethereum network.

Please note that this event is scheduled for 7pm at present, which is an hour later than our normal Sunday evening time. We were unable to schedule it at the earlier time.
