Debate: How to disagree productively and find common ground
What happens when we sit across the table from someone whose ideas are contrary to our own? How frequently does the conversation become a shouting match, even an exchange of insults? Does one party get up and leave?
Let’s watch a short video that demonstrates how to disagree productively and find common ground. We’ll hear about the humility of uncertainty and learn that debate is discussing ideas, not identities.
And, perhaps in a future discussion, we can practice and learn from each other. Paula leads.
