Outdoor Football @ Braywick

Braywick Park and Sports Ground

A friendly kickabout, open to all levels. Different players each week. Newcomers welcome.

During the pandemic we will be following this clear one-page FA guidance: https://tinyurl.com/FAcovid5aside

We book the pitch when we hit the minimum of 8 "yes" RSVPs, which we need to do by the day before. With 8-12 players we will play on half a pitch (5-a-side size, with 4, 5 or 6-a-side). If we get 14 or more RSVPs we'll book the full pitch, and can move the goals to whatever size we want.

The cost is £4 to £6 each, depending how many sign up
(£50 for the half-pitch or £69 for the full pitch, divided by the number of players)
The money will be collected at the end, or if you prefer to pay by Paypal beforehand, the organisers' account details are given to the right.

DON'T BE LATE! We need to be there, changed and ready for kick-off at 9:00 PM. If the game is ever cancelled we will let those who have already RSVPd "yes" know.

TO FIND THE PITCH: Come in through the main entrance of Braywick Sports Ground, off Braywick Road. Take a right in front of the Toby Carvery Stafferton Lodge where the road almost immediately forks and head straight across the mini-roundabout into the larger Braywick Sports Centre car park. You will see the sports centre to your left. Park your bike/car near it, as the pitch is right behind, so you can either walk around the outside or go through the main entrance and out the other side.

PLEASE BRING:

• Suitable boots for the outdoor 3G pitches. Artificial grass (AG) football boots are strongly recommended as the best option for the surface. Full studs/blades designed for soft ground (SG) would be dangerous for you especially, as well as for others and the pitch. You could get away with wearing firm-ground (FG) or astroturf boots for a while, but it won't help your game or your boots!

• Some cash - up to £6, as explained above.

**RSVP TERMS AND CONDITIONS**

• Please ALWAYS be considerate to the organisers and other members!

• When you RSVP "Yes", we book a spot on the pitch for you. The organiser is charged for the pitch unless they cancel it at least 48 hours before the game.

• If you change your RSVP to "No" less than 48 hours before play and nobody is able to take your spot, you will be asked to pay the price as if you took part.

BRINGING GUESTS:

Please note than you are more than welcome to bring 1 or 2 friends to play (but only if you add "+1" or "+2" to your RSVP, so that we don't end up with too many players). Any guest wanting to take part in any subsequent game will be requested to register with the group.

I need a fix! I need a fix!...

There are many online versions of familiar games these days and I have recently started to use some online platforms, and have been pleasantly surprised.

Some of the main free online boardgaming platforms we can use to play are:
- Boardgamearena: https://boardgamearena.com/welcome
- Happymeeple: https://www.happymeeple.com/en/menu.php
- Yucata: https://www.yucata.de/en/
- Boiteajeux: http://www.boiteajeux.net/index.php

Would you like to join me on Zoom to play some board games online, using one of the above platforms?

If so, please RSVP so the link to the online event is shown to you.

We will use zoom for the video conference (my account is not limited to 40 mins)
