Trailwork Invite: Hidden Falls Regional Park
On Saturday, March 18th, FATRAC will repair the washout on the Creekside Trail, as well as other things if there are enough volunteers. Meet at Hidden Falls parking lot at 8:30am.
The main project is widen the washed out trail section by digging into the hillside with picks, rock bars, and a jackhammer. There are also a few muddy sections of trail that need rock fill, and some culverts that need repair after the big rains. And for people that don't want to the heavy rock/digging work, we will do some brush clearing on a few of the trails that are growing in. The plan is to work no later than 3, and hopefully we will be done by 2. We will drive into the work site, but if you need to leave before the group leaves, you should plan on riding in/out or hiking out.
Ideally wear long pants, boots, have gloves and safety glasses/sunglasses.
We plan to have sandwiches for lunch, so be sure to RSVP to assure your lunch. Bring your own water and snacks.
RSVP here or email info@fatrac.org
Carpooling is highly recommended due to the limited parking at Hidden Falls and the fact that great weather brings out the crowds.
