If you've wondered why things have been a little quiet on the site, on the past week, there's several reasons. I've been battling a severe cold and other ailments for the past two weeks and I am just getting back to work.
This means there will be a flurry of activity over the next few days. You see many additions to the FCCP calendar including webinars, workshops, bootcamps, mini-workshops and more. This may total as many 100 emails from Meetup in just a few days. I know this is very inconvenient for many of you.
However, the sending of these emails is all controlled by Meetup and we cannot avoid this deluge of emails. Meetup does allow you to change your email settings and reduce the number emails drastically. We send out emails on how to do this 5 or 6 times a year and also send the information in the email that all new members receive. Here is the link again on how to greatly reduce the emails you receive from Meetup.
These should help you manage the email you receive from Meetup and FCCP. Thanks for your patience and understanding.
I have also discovered that some members have reported Meetup and FCCP as spammers to their ISP (Internet Service Provider ie Road Runner, Knology, etc.) Reporting Meetup and FCCP as spammers disrupts the flow of emails to many other members that use those same services. Meetup Support and FCCP are working closely to insure the proper delivery of email to our members. If you do not want to receive the email, please adjust your settings via the instructions linked to above.
Thanks for your understanding and help with tackling this issue that all FCCP members face. If you need additional assistance please email [address removed]
