What we're about

Come and play tabletop games with us!

Whether you've only played Scrabble and Monopoly, or can throw down with the best 18XX'ers, come out and join us at the table.

Our group meets for Open Gaming at the Boardwalk Cafe (http://www.abbyboardwalk.com/) and the Clearbrook Library (https://fvrl.bibliocommons.com/locations/CB), where we play a large variety of card, board, and roleplaying games. You can also find us throughout the week hosting smaller groups and playing specific games that may not otherwise make it to the table. We're definitely growing and always on the lookout for new best friends.

We're glad you found us; there's plenty of room at the table.

PS — If you're into designing games or simply thinking about them critically, check out our other Meetup group, Fraser Valley Playtesters (https://www.meetup.com/Fraser-Valley-Playtesters/).

Online event

Come play tabletop games with us!

With our face-to-face events being cancelled because of the worldwide pandemic, we'll run events online. We miss getting together with old friends and meeting new ones, so let's stay connected.

We've set up a Discord server to connect and play games using text and voice communication. If you're not familiar with Discord, that's okay. Follow the location link, choose a username (or sign in if you have an account), and it will drop you directly into our Welcome channel. From there, we've got more details on where and how to play.

The server link will only be open until the night of the event, so log in ahead of time to get a feel for things and test your microphone. There's a chat channel there to ask questions if you need help.

Looking forward to seeing you at the (digital) table! :D

Accessibility
You'll need a computer with a mic to get the most out of this experience, but Discord has a mobile app, so you may get by with just your smartphone.

Let's Play Dungeon World

Boardwalk Cafe and Games

Come and play Dungeon World with us!

Combining high-action dungeon crawling with cutting-edge rules, Dungeon World is a roleplaying game of fantasy adventure. You and your friends will explore a land of magic and danger in the roles of adventurers searching for fame, gold, and glory.

Never played a roleplaying game before? No problem! This session is new-player friendly, and we'll provide everything you need to get started.

See Dungeon World on RPG Geek (https://rpggeek.com/rpg/11105/dungeon-world) or the whole rulebook at Dungeon World SRD (http://www.dungeonworldsrd.com/).

---

Dungeon World’s rules are easy to learn and always drive the action forward in unexpected ways. A missed roll is never a dead end—failure introduces new complexities and complications. Life as an adventurer is hard and dangerous but it’s never boring!

Designed to be ready for you to hack, remix, and build new content, Dungeon World includes systems for changing everything to suit your group including creating new races, classes, and monsters.

Why Play Dungeon World?

First, to see the characters do amazing things. To see them explore the unexplored, slay the undying, and go from the deepest bowels of the world to the highest peaks of the heavens. To see them caught up in momentous events and grand tragedies.

Second, to see them struggle together. To gather as a party despite their differences and stand united against their foes, or to argue over treasure, debate battle plans, and join in righteous celebration over a victory hard-won.

Third, because the world still has so many places to explore. There are unlooted tombs and dragon hoards dotting the countryside just waiting for quick-fingered and strong-armed adventurers to discover them. That unexplored world has plans of its own. Play to see what they are and how they’ll change the lives of our characters.
