What we're about

Come and play tabletop games with us!

Whether you've only played Scrabble and Monopoly, or can throw down with the best 18XX'ers, come out and join us at the table.

Our group meets for Open Gaming at the Boardwalk Cafe (http://www.abbyboardwalk.com/) and the Clearbrook Library (https://fvrl.bibliocommons.com/locations/CB), where we play a large variety of card, board, and roleplaying games. You can also find us throughout the week hosting smaller groups and playing specific games that may not otherwise make it to the table. We're definitely growing and always on the lookout for new best friends.

We're glad you found us; there's plenty of room at the table.

PS — If you're into designing games or simply thinking about them critically, check out our other Meetup group, Fraser Valley Playtesters (https://www.meetup.com/Fraser-Valley-Playtesters/).

Open Gaming Online

Online event

Come play tabletop games with us! With our face-to-face events being cancelled because of the worldwide pandemic, we'll run events online. We miss getting together with old friends and meeting new ones, so let's stay connected. We've set up a Discord server to connect and play games using text and voice communication. If you're not familiar with Discord, that's okay. Follow the location link, choose a username (or sign in if you have an account), and it will drop you directly into our Welcome channel. From there, we've got more details on where and how to play. The server link will only be open until the night of the event, so log in ahead of time to get a feel for things and test your microphone. There's a chat channel there to ask questions if you need help. Looking forward to seeing you at the (digital) table! :D Accessibility You'll need a computer with a mic to get the most out of this experience, but Discord has a mobile app, so you may get by with just your smartphone.

Paul's House

Games: Player Count: Duration: Weight: Game Description: Review/How to play: - --- Diving into the strategies of medium to heavy Strategy, War, and 18xx Games. This recurring event will focus on playing the same games more often, so we can work on improving our strategies and explore new strategies for our favourite games. Games that become favourites will be added to the rotation to be played again at an upcoming Meetup. The goal by the end each year will be to play our favourite games 5+ times. This Meetup is open for players of all skill levels and all games will include a 15-30 minute explanation beforehand. If there are any games from the following list (or from your own collection) that you're excited to play, please let me know and I will add them to an upcoming Meetup. --- Accessibility Parking: Street parking is available all around our house.
