What we’re about
We are a group of enthusiasts that aim to promote and support Free and Open Source Technology in Singapore. First it was the Linux User Group of Singapore (commonly known as LUGS), then Singapore Linux Meetup Group and now Free and Open Source Singapore.
We welcome all like-minded people to join us and freely share knowledge and experience. Our aim is to hold a quarterly meetup (last Thursday of month) with interesting and relevant speakers and topics.
Feel free to approach us if you have any ideas or wish to speak.

The current Open Source AI Definition (OSAID) 1.0 falls short because it doesn't mandate access to a model's training data, which is as crucial as source code is to software. For true openness, accountability, and transparency, this data must be provided. This talk argues that without this requirement, the principles of open source are diminished. Its goal is to outline action items to ensure future versions of the OSAID properly uphold the established standards of the open source community in the AI era."Panel Discussion: Is Opensource AI the answer to safer and better future?
