Introduction to Desktop 3D Printing

Details
This class covers the same material as the Wednesday class, but we got a large enough response to need two classes.
Gabe Ochoa, Programs Director for the Invention Studio (http://inventionstudio.gatech.edu/) at Ga Tech, has offered to come teach a class about 3D printers. The Invention Studio has 8 consumer 3D printers and 3 that are professional-grade, so Gabe has some experience with keeping these things going!
In this class you will get a introduction to Desktop 3D Printing by looking at how 3D printing works, how to find part files to 3D print, how to make your own 3D printed parts, and how to run and maintenance your own 3D printer! In addition, you will get a 3D printed part to take home with you. This class will answer the what and how of 3D printing. No prior knowledge required.
The class is $20 + $10 for materials, but everyone should leave with a 3D printed part of some kind. However, we will not be able to scan objects that students bring in to print.
