Mountain Birding

Needs a location

For ages 10 and up. Open a door to a whole new world! Did you know that Skinner State Park is listed as a hotspot for birds? Hear, see and enjoy birds on this beginner program! This program is an easy walk or stroll around the Summit House picnic tables. Meet outside on the Summit House deck.

Empowerment Hike

Needs a location

This guided hike follows a moderate trail that is great for people wanting to nurture their hiking skills. Build your confidence, learn navigation, connect to nature and learn how to be a better steward. *Storms cancel all outdoor programs. Meet inside the Notch Visitor Center.

Summit House Tours

For ages 12 and up. Join a Park Interpreter-guided tour to enliven your Summit House visit. Hear the story and vision of John and Fanny French, who in the 1800s offered a novel mountain-top vacation at the "Prospect House". Discover how it evolved, and later became a state park. Meet inside the Summit House.
