This month we'll be welcoming two speakers:
Tim Brazier (@timbrazier): An introduction to Sheffield Design School – how can we make the world of design more inclusive.
The professional world of design has long been reserved for trained designers - people who are born with a creative talent and a knowledge of what they want to do when they grow up or who are privileged enough to get a University education.
We want to use Sheffield Design School to explore ways to break down the exclusive nature of the industry we work in and create opportunities for people to use their creativity to make things better.
We’re starting here in Sheffield and want to use our thriving design community to make some meaningful change.
I'll be sharing my thoughts and ideas and looking for your thoughts and challenges too.
Rowan Merewood (@rowan_m): Building Rotavo
How an attempt to build a touch sensitive dial accidentally turned into an entire drawing app. Learn about custom elements, touch events, SVG, and a dash of trigonometry while trying to keep it all animated at 60fps.
