Details

*** Don't miss out. A great activity weekend is shaping up in beautiful Tremblant. Why not join us? **

Imagine an incredibly fun weekend getaway to one of the most magical winter wonderlands in the world. Meet new people and try new things. That's what being single is all about. Make your married friends jealous too. This is a real New Years celebration that lasts several days.

People come from all over to enjoy what we have just 1.5 hours away! Find out why!

Come to Tremblant Chalet Weekend. Never enjoyed a chalet weekend away? This is your chance to discover what it's all about and connect with other singles. Celebrate the beginning of winter in a magical place with a long history as a great weekend getaway. Add this to your 2014 bucket list.

Tremblant is ranked as Eastern North America's BEST WINTER RESORT the past decade. There's more to do than just downhill skiing or snowboarding. Good luck trying to do it all. There's spas, nightclubs, and casinos, cross-country skiing, nightclubbing, skating, movies, snowshoeing, nightclubbing, house parties, relaxation, socializing, and pedestrian gondola rides to the summit to take in breathtaking Tremblant beauty...

3 DAYS AND 2 EVENINGS.

Includes 2 four-course table d`hote dinners and breakfasts, plus 2 nights accommodation for just $299. Double occupancy rooms also available for the same price.

When was the last time you had a good winter chalet party weekend? This is sure to be one the best...guaranteed! It's going to be a sell-out like the last 3 years, so don't miss out on a great time. If this is your first, it may be your last, if 2012 is the year the world ends, so make it fun.

Join us in a chalet in the winter wonderland of Old Village of Tremblant, Canada's winter at its best. (Double occupancy in a hotel room is also available for the same price, if you want extra privacy and to accommodate our singles alumni, those who have coupled up and want to join in too.) Your stay will include 2 amazing table d'hote dinners and breakfasts in one of the area's best restaurants. If you love food, you're going to love this place!

If you love winter, you'll love it even more - snowshoeing, downshill & x-c skiing, boarding, skating on a lake, apres ski, nightclubbing, and heading off for apres-sports spas & hot tubbing. Don't know how to ski or snowboard? Take a lesson at the hill. It's easy, when you book through tremblant.ca .

The winter chalet culture is part of this town's history. Tremblant helped to invent winter fun, with legendary partying and outdoors activities. This is the place that defined the winter party scene for the last 60 years. Just ask those who came last year! (see testimonial at the end of this).

Current lift ticket deals:

Early season lift ticket deals:

If you plan on skiing 2 to 4 times at Tremblant, rather than paying $75 each time, I suggest you buy the Latitude Ski pass (http://www.tremblant.ca/tickets/ski-pass/carte-latitude/index-e.htm) that brings the price per outing to just $49.50. It`ll save you $100, at least! ...Or buy a T-66 season pass (http://www.tremblant.ca/tickets/ski-pass/t-66/index-e.htm) for just $269 at Tremblant! Offered to those in our region only. If you go to Tremblant 10 times a year, this equates to just $26.90 per time. If you go 20 times, like I have usually do, that comes to just $13.45 per time. The advantage of this pass is that you always will have Funabalu people to head up there with. Every year Funabalu heads to Tremblant on regular day trips to ski, board, and enjoy Eastern North America`s best resort. We often carpool too, to share mileage.

You will enjoy the ambience of Eastern North America's Best Ski Resort, but nevermind skiing or snowboarding, it is great for all sorts of winter fun. This is the ultimate winter holiday locale, is truly a Winter Disneyland of the North. Founded by Jack Rabbit Johansen in the 1930s, this is an Apres Ski destination for its bars and late night condo parties.

Capping off the weekend at the spa is a great ending to the experience to relax sore muscles on the way out of town. You will be in one of several chalets overlooking or near Lac Mercier in Old Mont Tremblant Village, just a short drive from the ski hills, a cross country ski course, and various spas.

Accommodations: We can accommodate up to 30 people. This is chalet style accommodations, some private rooms and some open concept. It's all part of the experience and opportunity to mingle. Much better than private hotel rooms for socializing.

Chalet accommodations:

Chalets have a mix of private, semi-private, and open sleeping areas. If you want private room, this is on a first come, first serve basis.

Hotel accommodations:

Double room occupancy, overlooking the lake and above the restaurant for the same price. Good for friends who want privacy, singles alumni (couples), snorers, and for overflow.

Other Activity Costs:

Lift tickets, Cross-country skiing ($15), ski lift passes (e.g. T-66), and [url=http://www.tremblant.ca/activities/summer/a... spas.[/url] The spas cost between $15 to $45. I highly recommend Le Scandinave (way better than Le Nordique) where you can also end your hot tubbing with a dip in the Diable River and get a massage too!

TRAVEL PLANS:

If you need a ride, please post up a comment on Meetup that you need a ride.

Funabalu-Singles members are great at sharing rides and this is good for the environment. (Passengers are asked to pay for their share of the gas.) If you want to drive, please post up a comment that you are offering too. Your vehicle has to be large enough for skis and gear, so typically two people to three people are tops for most vehicles.

Rendezvous: We will meet at 1191 rue Jacques Cartier, Gatineau, Quebec, J8T 2W3 at 8:30 am on Friday, January 10 and will convoy drive to Mount Tremblant to get in some skiing / boarding the same day. Those who are late can meet us there by 6 pm. Our dinner sitting is for 6:30 pm, so the earlier the better.

Check-in time: 4 pm (please plan to take about 2.5 hours or so to get there)

Check-in: Everyone is asked to check-in at the Auberge la Porte Rouge's main office at:

1874 Chemin du Village Mount Tremblant, Quebec J8E 1K4

It is assumed people can take off Friday to settle in, but I would like to know if this is difficult for you to see what other arrangements we can make for you.

Andrea said: “ This was a wonderful event. It was well-organized with many details provided in advance, and the organizer made every effort to ensure everyone had transportation both to/from Mont Tremblant as well as to/from the various venues in the area. The organizer also made sure that participants were aware of the many options for them to explore various personal interests (eg. downhill skiing, x-country skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, spending time at the space, "downtime", etc). The participants themselves contributed a lot to the success of this event as well, with their good humour, openness, generosity (eg. sharing equipment), and just generally being considerate of others. The accommodations were good value for the money. Thank you. ”

** Please note: Those who pay in full, get first choice of sleeping arrangements. Those who pay the $150 deposit, reserve their spots before those who pay later. Pay your deposit soon to help us reserve enough chalet space for all. The more the partier!
