Hello FAST members / Updates

Hi there everyone,

I am hoping that everyone has been keeping warm and dry these past several months and eager to see the temperatures increase.  I certainly have.  I have been absent these past several months being extremely busy, but I am committed to being active in this group and I hope the rest of you are as well.  We need everybody.  Everybody has something unique to bring to the table and many of you have multiple skills, training, and experience in real-world survival.  We need all the participation we can get so we can all learn and grow from each other. Even those of us who know very little and who just want to know more are encouraged to come and join our meetups.  The more the better!

There have been updates and changes to the upcoming meetups so be sure to check them out.  Several of the meetups still need locations, especially those where we will be training and sharing skills in the wild.  So please speak up if anyone knows of excellent, remote sites were we could train, camp, and even shoot if possible.

Please, also, feel free to suggest possible upcoming meetups.  If you specialize in a certain skill or technique please share it with the group so we all can learn from you.  We all need each other.  Don't be afraid to suggest topics, times, locations, etc.  We want to set up meetings that work best for the group as a whole.

Take note that there is a weekend training/camping/fun-time/get-to-know-each-other-better meetup coming up later in April.  This will be a remote camping site (which still needs a location) and will be a great experience.  Set up camp on Friday, train most of the day Saturday, relax and talk Sat night and pack up Sunday morning after breakfast.  Please see the "Wilderness Survival" meetup page for more details.  And please don't be shy about sharing more ideas or things to do for this meetup.

Let's keep this great meetup group moving forward! :)

Keep warm and safe,

John
