What's coming

I just heard on the radio about water being a
looming problem ("the next oil"). Also plastic,
except there's too much of it rather than too
little (). I can
think of ways technology could help with both of
these; what can we as individuals do? And where
should they go on our timeline? What action items
would it make sense for us to have, as individuals
or as a group, if any?

I'd like to discuss this, and other ideas people
might have about what might be coming soon, before
the next Meetup, so we can have an idea of what
folks are interested in talking about and/or acting
on. What's most urgent?
