Hey gang! We're happy to invite Reuben Thompson, VP of Technology at Gospel Technology, to be our speaker for the month of September.

About the talk:
Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) goes far beyond Bitcoin, Crypto and Fintech, and is now gaining traction as an emerging technology solution for secure data sharing in the cloud. As enterprise adoption and real-life applications of DLT continue to skyrocket, it’s paramount that developers and tech teams be at the forefront of learning and understanding how these technologies work. In this case, how to build security in at the data layer and seamlessly integrate with current cloud technologies (i.e. Kubernetes, object storage, etc.) Reuben Thompson, VP Technology, will share how Gospel Technology, a secure distributed graph database, is using blockchain and DLT in a never-before-seen way to allow companies to secure sensitive PII data in the cloud from a developer’s perspective. He will give a brief demo of Gospel Developer Quickstart (GDQ) – a fully interoperable, off-the-shelf solution built for developers, by developers allowing them to automatically deploy GDQ on GCP in just a few clicks. And provide practical use cases of where, when and how GDQ can be applied.

About the speaker:
Reuben has 15 years’ experience in web and software development, having occupied multiple technical roles since 2003.
Reuben joined Gospel from Experian Marketing Services, where he was most recently responsible for the software development and product management functions for the Alchemy Social, Promote and Intelligent Audiences product lines. Prior to that, he worked for a VAR, where he was in charge of e-commerce and internal line of business applications.
Across these roles, Reuben gained extensive experience of managing large-scale software projects, scalable, distributed, service-oriented software architectures, and how to satisfy complex and divergent compliance requirements (FCA, PCI, etc).
As Vice President for Technology at Gospel, Reuben is responsible for all platform and product development activities.
