If you already know some basic HTML and want to take your website to the next level with styling and CSS, then this is the class for you! We will cover introductory CSS as well as colors, text, boxes, lists/tables/forms, layout, image styling and much more. This class covers CSS in great detail and you should be somewhat familiar with HTML before taking this class.

Saturday, April 7th from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

INSTRUCTOR
Tessa Kriesel, a Developer Advocate at Pantheon, will be teaching our class. She has a degree in web development and has 10+ years of experience under her belt.

PREREQUISITE KNOWLEDGE
To be prepared for this course, you should come with some basic HTML skills. You should be fairly comfortable with things like a basic HTML document setup and elements such as divs, headers, links, etc. If you've taken our Intro to Website Building with HTML course, then you are definitely prepared for this class! TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Download and Install Google Chrome (https://www.google.com/chrome/browser/desktop/) for viewing our work and using the Dev tools.
• Download and install Atom (https://atom.io/), Sublime Text (https://www.sublimetext.com/2), VS Code (https://code.visualstudio.com/), or similar for writing code.

WHAT TO BRING TO CLASS
• Laptop & Charger (there will be Wi-Fi and power strips available)
• Don't own a laptop? No problem! GDI has a few extra laptops on hand, just e-mail us at minneapolis@girldevelopit.com to request one for this class.
