Code & Cocktails
Join us for our next Code & Cocktails! This spin on Code & Coffee is an opportunity to practice your skills, meet new friends, and get help if you need it. Bring your laptop, your recent projects, and your programming problems or simply come and network with fellow GDI members. All are welcome regardless of gender, skill level, or whether or not you're new to Girl Develop It. If you're a beginner, we'll be right there to help you work through your questions. Code & Coffee events are relaxed and informal, and are intended as a way for our community to work and play together, while providing each other with ongoing support and feedback. This event is free to attend. See you there! PARKING There is metered street parking and a couple of paid lots nearby, Union Depot Lot B (Broadway and Kellogg) is about two blocks away and seems to have the best rates and is the most accessible to walk up to the main entrance and then right across the street to the coffee shop. Discovered the Jackson parking lot that's just down the block from the shop. The sign says it's $4 on the weekends: 345 Jackson St, St Paul, MN 55101 Please contact Grace if you have any trouble finding a spot [masked] ABOUT GIRL DEVELOP IT GDI exists to provide affordable, judgement-free opportunities for women to learn to code. What we're about

Want to learn how to code? Have a great idea? Don't be shy. Develop it.

It can be intimidating for women to learn and ask questions when they are in an extreme minority. While open and welcoming, today's budding developer community is up to 91 percent male. There isn't a comfortable place where women can learn at their own pace and not be afraid to ask "stupid questions."

We decided it was time to provide a place where all questions are OK and everyone can learn in a supportive environment. Our courses focus on coding, leveraging existing technology, and having something to show for it (aka building sweet websites).

Stay tuned to this meetup for upcoming scheduled classes.
