Join us for a 1 day crash course in HTML/CSS that will give you the fundamentals you need to build a website. We will guide you through the basics of HTML and CSS, give you some readily-applicable skills, and answer any questions you may have along the way.

The first half of the class is spent setting up your text editor, learning how websites work, and an introduction getting started with HTML/CSS. After we've mastered the basics of HTML/CSS and we will move on to the formatting and layout of a website.

This class is great for beginners - no previous coding experience required.

We will take a 30 minute break for lunch half way through and then dive into the second half of class.

• Laptop and charger.
• Google Chrome or Firefox installed before class
• Sublime Text 2 (or 3).
• Please gather a few images in a folder on your desktop or other easily accessible location on your computer.
• Think of a theme for your site. Having an idea of what you want to build will help you apply the things we learn in class.

This course will be taught by Cara Jo Miller, Web Developer and Designer at Rachio and Shannon Bertucci, Front-end Developer at Gloo

We're here to help! If you have additional questions or would like to talk further before signing up for an event, please contact Cara Jo Miller at [masked]
