If you love to bicycle and enjoy an enthusiastic community of friends, then Greater Loudoun Bicycling Meetup is for you! Some of us ride for fun. Others are training for an event. We aim to broaden your experiences in all things cycling. So check out our calendar to find the next event for you.

Sunday AM Beginner Ride - To Purcellville (20 miles)

(Replacement for the Saturday ride we unexpectedly had to cancel.)

Join us for a Sunday morning ride on the local roads, W&OD, and multi-use trails! These are fun No Drop rides - ride leader will stop periodically to allow everyone to catch up.

Meet in front of the bike shop for a 8:30am departure. Please bring a face covering for pre-ride briefing.

Rides will be at an easy pace, average 8 - 11 mph, west toward Purcellville, or east through Ashburn, depending on the weather conditions.

Invite your friends to come too. Casual dress is encouraged, spandex optional.

Hybrids, dual-sport, fitness, and road bikes are appropriate.

Carry a spare inner tube that fits your bicycle's tires, even if you don't know how to change it.

Please bring plenty of water.

Helmets required.

Cyclists ride at their own risk.

Ride will be cancelled in the event of rain or winds of 20+.

4th of July - Leesburg to Harpers Ferry Loops (Hilly) Early Start

This will be a 55 mile loop starting Leesburg, VA through beautiful Harpers Ferry, WV. We'll be walking across the bridge between WV and MD. ** Rolling hills throughout the ride. **

No drop. Not a race.

The ride will be at an *intermediate* level with rolling hills an average speed of 13-15 mph. Invite your friends to come too. Casual dress is encouraged, spandex optional.

Road bikes are highly recommended. If accustomed to riding on roads, hybrids, dual-sport, and fitness are all fine based on 13 - 15 avg. speed.

Carry a spare inner tube that fits your bicycle's tires, even if you don't know how to change it.

Please bring plenty of water.

Note. Please remember to bring sufficient water and food/fuel. Rest stop is at the 26 mile mark in Marshall. (7-11). We will take breaks along the route. No rush. Not a race.
