Whether you’re a student just embarking on a career or a seasoned data professional, this group is for you. We want to connect and inspire amazing data women with diverse expertise and experience.

At this event, we’ll have more great talks from female data analysts, scientists and researchers so come along, ask questions and meet other women who love data!

Agenda:
• 18:30- 19:00 Networking with pizza & drinks
• 19:00- 20:30 Lightning talks from our women in data speakers and Q&A
• 20:30- 21:00 Networking & wrap-up

Speakers:
• Margaux Dumon (https://www.linkedin.com/in/margaux-dumon-a6486090/) is a data consultant at Valtech. She will discuss her experience starting as a data graduate, how and why she decided to become a data business analyst and her favourite data project so far. Margaux has studied biology but decided to take a different career path and started at Valtech in May 2017.

• Sarah Belghiti (https://www.linkedin.com/in/sarah-belghiti-758616134/) is a Data Scientist at Valtech and is engaged in the ‘Women in Data’ cause. This year in February she took part in the Women in Data Science Kaggle competition and teamed up with 3 other data scientists. Before joining Valtech she worked for more than 3 years in an electricity company and is now back in the energy industry on a project for the electricity and gas regulator. After sharing her experience as a data scientist she will give a talk about the electricity market and present an example of data analysis and time series prediction using smart meter data.

• Cheryl Edwards (https://www.linkedin.com/in/edwardscheryl/) is a Delivery Director at Valtech who helped set up the data practice, where she leads and assures Agile data, creative and software engineering projects. She’s never been far away from data throughout her career but starting out as a techie she never expected that her journey would lead her here. She works part-time for Valtech and has just qualified as a person-centred counsellor.
