HIKING MEDITATION - Meditation on-the-Go

Details
On this beautiful forest hike, you will learn a very new and effective approach to mindful meditation while hiking at normal speed. The meditation technique you will learn can also be used in the midst of daily activities. It enhances your joy (see group photos).
This is a 3.25 hour (3.2 mile) hike through redwood and mixed forest on a Big Trees - Sequoia Bay View - Sunset – Palos Colorados trail loop in Joaquin Miller Park. Included are verbal meditation instructions along the way as well as a short sitting meditation session toward the end of the hike. The trail is considered moderate with an elevation gain of 350 feet. For those concerned about their fitness, the average hiking speed is about 2mph. If you have further questions on this, please send a message to the organizer. The hike will happen rain or shine.
Bring drinking water and a light (preferably waterproof) ground cloth as we will occasionally be sitting on the ground. Snacks, also, if you get the munchies (especially as we approach the lunch hour!). A hiking pole is recommended. If it is raining, bring light rain gear.
For some, the trail may take a few extra minutes to find as the parking area is along Skyline Boulevard and easily missed if you’re not careful, so it’s better to plan on arriving 15 minutes early. Look at the Meeting album for photos of the Big Trees trailhead. The hike will start on time.
