Hack the box is coming to Texas for the first time! Please join us at our inaugural hackathon.

Join us on Discord at https://discord.gg/hackthebox and look for me, bkrubnzi#3664!! Burritos, drinks, wifi and electricity all free of charge, but don't forget your laptop.

Please remember to already have your HTB username ready as this is the only way you will have access to the custom labs created by HackTheBox for this event.

Linux/Unix terminals and commands are required to participate in the exercises.

If you bring a Windows 10 laptop, make certain to install Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) and get it working BEFORE you show up, or have a Linux VM ready to go. I recommend Debian, if you're brave you can try Kali. Otherwise, please prepare to be a spectator ;-)

Are you looking to get into computer security and you want to see offensive operations up close? You should come! We have labs and volunteers just for you.

Are you an experienced or expert red teamer? You should come! We'll be hacking medium and hard machines too!

Are you someone who wants to help others learn offensive Security and you know HTB? You should come! Help us introduce people to this amazing platform.

This event is co-hosted by https://csnp.org. You can learn more about our organization and our members here: https://www.meetup.com/DallasSecurity/

More about this event:

HackTheBox (HTB) will provide vulnerable laboratory machines in a private environment just for the event, and participants will only have access to the machines for the duration of the event.

Since we are aiming for a 60 to 75-minute session, we will only focus on introducing everyone to the platform.

This will be our first meeting, so we will dedicate some extra time to introduce the program, the idea, and the objective. There will be other machines with different levels of difficulty for more experienced individuals.

We will have two easy machines, three medium machine and one hard machine. We will also show and hack one or two easy machines during the event.
