This is a group for anyone interested in UX/UI Design, Product Design, Web and Mobile Development and doing good using their skills. It's related to the Prototyping User Experiences Meetup (http://www.meetup.com/Prototyping-User-Experiences-NYC-Me...) I started that with the goal to "teach, mentor and share knowledge" with fellow prototypers.

I started the "Hackers 4 Good" group to meet other people that want to use their professional skills to give back to their communities – and the world at large – by hacking real world problems, and creating and building solutions that can make a difference.

The hackathons format will be approximately this:

• A chosen non-profit organization will be invited to provide a problem that they'd like help with – where they think that design and technology can help.

• During the 2-4 four hours hackathons the teams will be able to put together a basic idea and prototype of their solution

• The winning team, and others interested might continue working on the project, IF  they like the cause/project, other people might be able to join as well.

• IF we find sponsors, we'd love to see these solutions come to life and make a real difference.

All skills levels are welcome. Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Feel free to reach out or suggest charities or sponsors! :)

Thank you,
Francesco
