To access the building, cars will need to get in from Weber St. and turn onto College St. and park in the Faculty of Social work Gold parking lot (or in a nearby city of Kitchener parking lot). The auditorium is on the main floor (look for signs).

Hacking Health (HH) Cafes: where ideas and people mingle.


This month's guest speakers and presentations include:

• Dr. Karla Boluk ( from Hack4Health ( Hack4health provides an exciting space for the creation of practical applications (software, hardware, and social solutions) for people living with MS or Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.

• Alexa Roeper ( from Ladies Learning Code Waterloo ( If you are a health care practitioner or administrator wanting to learn more about coding, this presentation is for you! Ladies Learning Code's adult programming offers women (and men) hands-on, project-based learning experiences that are designed to give beginners the skills and confidence they need to become digital creators.

• Krizia Francisco ( from the Waterloo Wellington Local Health Integration Network ( Krizia will be speaking about maximizing opportunities for system improvement through supporting health system, telemedicine and eHealth.

• William Marchand ( is a is a Research Assistant at the University of Waterloo and will be sharing his latest project related to young onset dementia.

• Huayi Gao (, co-founder at Medella Health ( Medella Health is developing the next generation of bio-sensors and electronics that help us monitor our health.
