Let's head back to Captain Bobs for crabs or whatever you want to eat. They have a full menu to choose from if you are not into picking crabs. If you want beer or wine with your crabs, you will need to bring it along since Railroad is a dry town. The price for all-you- can-eat crabs is currently at $45.95, or you can just order half a dozen at Market Price if you cannot eat a lot. We may carpool depending on where everyone is coming from. I will know more on that once I see who is coming. Come out and enjoy an afternoon on their deck (in good weather) or inside if the weather is bad. RSVP by Sept 16th so I can get a reservation made.
We are headed down to Bella Cloiche this evening to listen to Faded Denim and enjoy some wine. They will also have Sam and Jo's Gyros food truck on site if you want to order something to eat. This activity will be held outside if weather is permitting, so dress accordingly. If anyone wants to carpool from Spring Grove, let me know. There is no cost for the event so you just pay as you go for food or drink.
Tonight we are going to see a live stand up comedy act at the Eichelberger Theater. Jeff Allen’s rapid-fire humor, which centers on marriage and family, is a hit with all ages. A live comedy favorite, Jeff has appeared on Showtime, Comedy Central, VH1 and more. He starred in the critically acclaimed film, Apostles of Comedy, the syndicated comedy series, Bananas, his own one-hour comedy special, Happy Wife, Happy Life and the Warner Bros. comedy film, Thou Shalt Laugh. Jeff’s Dry Bar Comedy videos went viral earlier this year, introducing him to tens of millions of new fans worldwide. Jeff’s one-man show, The America I Grew Up In, offers a unique view into his crazy world. The cost tonight is $34.00 which includes a $4.00 Fee. If you want to also have the drink package (which includes 2 beers or glasses of wine), it is $44.00.
All reservations and payment for this event must be completed by July 18th so we can get seats together. They currently have quite a few seats left but who knows for how long. Please RSVP as soon as possible and payment can either be paid at an event (either Friday at Brookmere Winery or on July 18th if you are coming to Adams County Winery). If you cannot attend either of those events, please contact me privately and I will give you my address to mail the check.
Deb and Gary Angell have invited us to their home today for a Tea. Deb will be making scones, finger sandwiches and desserts and will have a variety of teas to share. Cost for this event is $5.00 payable at the Tea. This event will be limited to 12 people, so sign up early. Please give all final RSVPs no later than 1 week before the event so Deb has time to buy all the supplies and ingredients. Deb will also be showing is all how to make a card. She will be supplying everything needed.
