July spilled over into August. The summer continues to roll! This meetup will cover two different projects that primarily operate outside, as any summer themed meetup should.
This month we're pleased to welcome Samuel Clay (https://twitter.com/samuelclay). He will be discussing "The Art of Biofeedback". This will cover two different Burning Man projects that included a large amount of user interaction. Aside from the normal difficulties of displaying human rhythms back to users, this effort was complicated by the environmental factors of working in the desert.
We're also pleased to welcome Nikolai Chernyy (https://twitter.com/breadboard), who will be discussing "Electronics for High Altitude Platforms". This will cover tips and tricks for designing electronics for sustained stratospheric flight and some lessons learned along the way. Nikolai currently designs communications electronics for Alphabet's project Loon. Formerly he designed surgical electronics at Stryker Endoscopy.
As always, we welcome attendees to give 2 minute talks about their projects and companies (please see the organizers to get set up when you arrive).
We will have our usual spread of food and beverages. You should plan to bring the discussion about hardware (or whatever else you're passionate about).
