We all know the Bay Area has tons of software meetups, but where's the hardware love? We're bringing together anyone who interested in building a business in the world of physical products: from company boards to organic soap. The purpose of the group is to start to build the hardware startup community by: bringing people together, bringing in experts in the fields of hardware & form entrepreneurs who've done it before, and also to build a better picture of the hardware scene so we can all find the resources we need to make this happen.
We're taking SF Hardware Meetup on the road again! This month, we're heading to Edge Computing World in Santa Clara. We'll have our own private room on the show floor, plus Hardware Meetup attendees can register for the conference for free using the code "HARDWARE"
Edge Computing World is the leading event for the development and implementation of edge computing, and has over 125 amazing speakers, inspiring keynotes covering key issues such as sustainability, multiple tracks focused on how the technology is applied in different verticals such as agriculture, retail, manufacturing and infrastructure.
Here’s the rough agenda for the evening:
5:30 - 6:00pm: Arrive, grab some food and a drink, mix and mingle
6:00 - 6:15pm: Welcome notes
6:15 - 7:15pm: Presentations from Charles Byers and Mike DiCosola, two leaders in edge computing and exhibitors at Edge Computing World.
7:15 - 8:15pm: Demos! Jump up and demo if you've got a prototype to share or if you just want to talk about what you're working on. You'll have 2 minutes maximum (hard stop) with no projector or slides - just you, your prototype and a microphone!
