Mission Bay, San Diego is between Ocean Beach and Pacific Beach.

The trail around the bay will be about 12 miles 'n change, as the crow files.

Allow for about 6 hours 'n change...

There may be sudden and frequent stops for print making along the way...

We will start out in the daylight hours to take in the bay. As the evening progresses & we cross into night, the full moon will rise.

We will be following the Bayside path that encircles the bay & takes us by Pacific & Mission Beaches...then along by way of Sea World (the sky tower will be visible as we circle the bay) and Fiesta Island.

Wear comfortable clothing, tennis shoes will be fine.

This is the prefect trail to try out new equipment and boots. Bring extra shoes to change into if trying new boots for the first time.

There is a lot to see, be sure to bring a camera.

Bring a couple bottles of water & something to chew on...

There are water fountains, benches and necessary facilities along the route...

Also, there is a nice store, at Dana Landing, to stock up on provisions for the rest of the pilgrimage.

Hwy 5 south:

Turn Left on Lamont St.

Turn right on Crown Point Dr.

The park will be on your left, next to the water.

From Hwy 5 north:

Exit Grand Ave./Garnet.

Turn left on Grand Ave.

Turn left on Lamont St.

Turn right on Crown Point Dr.

There is plenty of parking in the lot and on the surrounding streets.

However, since it will be dark on the return trip, it would be best to park on the street; as the car park is not lighted.

We will meet at the trail head in the park, at the north end of the car park, at 2:00 pm (on Corona Oriente Road, just north of the intersection of Moorland & Crown Point.)
